Trespassers Will Be Eaten
$50.00 Sold out
What do you think of when you think of the Grateful Dead? A song? A show? A sound? Rock? Soul? Country? A culture? Fun? Kindness? Complexity? I think of a sign. A sign of something different. Than what’s out there. Happier. Sadder. Better. More Human. Yet more real, natural and primal An animal. The dualities that live in all of us. Everyday the music gets me through. And that sign. That sign. What it represents to me. Is everything. If you don’t believe, it can be hard to take. A line difficult to cross. There may be no going back. Trespassers will be eaten. But the universe is always welcome. Welcome to the ranch. Rucka Rucka Ranch. Stay as long as you like.
The Inspiration:
That 1976 photo of Mickey Hart on his Novato ranch, taken by Ed Perlstein.
The Shirt:
-Custom 6-ounce heavyweight cotton with tubular construction, chosen to be as authentic as possible to how a t-shirt in 1976 would have been made.
-Hand-pulled screen print.
-Dirty white dye.
-And the secret sauce: a heavy vintage wash, to again, make this beauty look and feel like it was made in 1976.
-You'll have to feel it to believe it.
-Only 50 made.
10% of total price goes to The Rex Foundation, as 1976 was the same year Rex Jackson died. He of course a leader of the cowboy roadies (and later band manager) who played such a key role in the band's existence.
